Fly Tying Classes
Wednesdays at 9am until 12pm AND 6pm - 8pm Location: South Fork Community Center, 4401 Country Club Rd, Winston-Salem At 9am on Wednesdays Project Healing Waters will host fly tying classes and at 6pm on Wednesday evenings Blue Ridge Trout Unlimited will host classes. The classes are free and all are welcome - from beginners to advanced. No need to sign up, just come join us. Todd Island & Lansing, NC Bank Restoration Projects
On March 2, 2024 several volunteers from Blue Ridge Trout Unlimited, the community of Todd, Todd Community Preservation Organization, Boy Scout Troop 722, and a Girl Scout Troop out of Boone, NC worked on a bank restoration project at Todd Island at New River State Park. The group planted live stakes and trees on Todd Island. At the same time a group of Blue Ridge Trout Unlimited volunteers were in Lansing NC working on Big Horse Creek bank restoration, as well. Altogether over 1,750 trees and live stakes were planted in the two locations.
