Fishing Report: Last shot on Wilson before DH ends

Title

Last shot on Wilson before DH ends

Fishing Report

Fished Wilson Creek on Memorial Day trying to get one last day in before delayed harvest end.  There was a steady light rain until mid afternoon.  The water clouded up around Noon.  From starting time around 10 AM until 5:00 or so I landed 13 fish including a couple 16" fish and a 20"er.  They were all Rainbows.
A little after 5:00 the rain had quit for an hour or two, the water cleared and I waded around a bend in the river just below the old mill site to where there is a straight stretch of fairly flat shallow water that steps up several times before coming to a fairly deep hole.  It was like someone flipped a switch.  For the next hour or so until I quit for the day at 7:00PM the stream came alive with one Brookie after another.  In the last hour or so I landed 17 Brookies including a nice 18"er.

River

Date Fished
