Fishing Report: North Toe, one more time!!

Title

North Toe, one more time!!

Fishing Report

Mike White and I fished the North Toe on Friday (April 2).  The water was still a little high and, perhaps, even a little more off color than the previous two visits in March.  While March was from snow melt I suspect this time it was from the heavy rain earlier in the week.  However, it didn't stop the fish from biting.  Between Mike and I we landed almost 100 fish.  They stocked earlier this week and it would seem they put in quite a few Browns this time.  I don't think I've ever caught so many browns in one day there.  Many were on the small side but a few were nice sized around 16 to 17 inches. They aggressively attacked wooly buggers while being retrieved or just suspended in the current.  The Park area was crowded but below Ingles and above the water treatment plant we had just about to ourselves all day.  There's still some nice 'pigs' there too including the 18" Brookie and 20" Rainbow I landed.

What they were hitting on

The cream colored bugger was still working in the off color water along with eggs, blue pickpockets, Barr Emerger, and anything red.
