Fishing Report: N Toe - High & Turbid

Title

N Toe - High & Turbid

Fishing Report

Scott Larsen and I fished N Toe for the first time.  Water was turbid and I believe a few inches above normal.  Fished the park in the morning w/ cream wooley bugger (tungsten cone and lead), egg and #16 stonefly nymph.  Caught several but had to get the flies down fast.  Scott caught a nice bow here.

Fished 226 bridge after lunch.  Fish here hit my bugger exclusively so I removed the other flies. Caught several fish including a nice bow and brook.  Also caught a 20" brook!   ~6:30 the water turned muddy and rose a couple more inches.

Not the best conditions but pleased with the numbers (>40 between us) and quality.  I can't wait to fish it when the water improves.

There were a lot of little black stoneflies; saw several ovipositing; but water was too turbid to do a lot w/ little black stonefly nymphs (caught a few).
