The topic of the May 18 Chapter Meeting will be Ararat River restoration, including the Mt. Airy River Park and the eventual establishment of DH section on the Ararat.

Our speaker will be Dick Everhart (State/Surry Co. Natural Resources Conservation Service) who has been involved with this project since its inception. He will give a talk and slide presentation about the vision for the Ararat/Mt. Airy River Park project and show before and after restoration pictures. Dick sees a lot of potential for both the Ararat and Little Fisher to become excellent smallmouth fisheries.

Our chapter meets at Texas Land and Cattle Steak House, at 1110 Creekshire Way, Winston-Salem, just off of Hanes Mall Blvd across the road from Target.  Our meetings start at 6:00 PM to allow folks to mingle, order dinner and get settled before the 7:00 program.  We welcome new members and visitors. Bring your family with you. This is a family oriented meeting.
